Pre-Season Events

Monday June 29th to July 2nd

The Parkland Wrestling organization hosted the Nighthawks from Ironwood Ridge High School, Tucson, Arizona. It was a full week, with the boys from both organizations taking part in practices with wrestlers from Easton, Freedom, Nazareth, Pleasant Valley, Stroudsburg in addition to our regular lift schedule. The team from Arizona had the opportunity to visit Lehigh University and take in Dorney Park. The week was capped by a picnic at Independence Park which was attended by both teams and their respective coaching staffs, as well as our host families and many others from the Parkland Wrestling organization. A highlight of the evening was a volleyball game which saw the Nighthawk and Trojan wrestlers combine to take on the coaches from both teams and the Parkland parents. In a tight match, the coaches team prevailed 2 games to 1.

Saturday May 30th

Wrestlers from Parkland High Traveled to Delaware Valley High School (Milford PA) to compete in the 4th annual Warrior Duals. Coached by Derek Jenkins and Matt Spengler they completed the day undefeated with a 5 - 0 record. Congratulations to all wrestlers that competed. Outstanding job wrestlers and coaches!

The level of competition was extremely high. Most all of our wrestlers were able to compete against State Champions and State Place finishers from across the country.
